As a native “Yooper,” I grew up in Pickford, only a short 20 minute commute to LSSU, where I spent many summers on campus. As a middle school student, I began working with student groups and leadership programs and found helping students and parents/family was a great joy. After graduating from Pickford High school, I attended Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and triple major in Community Leadership/Public Administration, Business Administration, and Political Science.
As an EUP (Eastern Upper Peninsula) native I have been able to establish a better appreciation for the area after leaving for school. Now I greatly enjoy the ability to get into a bigger city (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario), but quickly escape the beauty of nature in the areas surrounding Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
Lake Superior State University is a great place to learn, grow, and connect with people in given fields. Our professors, administration, and community are excited to welcome all the students to the area and provide a close knit campus with a “down home feel.”
Feel free to contact me with any question or concern as this is a big decision and I along with Lake Superior State University want to help to make the process as easy as possible.

"I've been accepted to Montana Tech's graduate school to pursue a master's degree in geophysical engineering. I have also accepted a full-funded graduate research assistantship to work with the Montana National Guard on developing magnetic techniques to detect unexploded ordinance. My summer internship with Geolex, a company under contract with the Guard, will study acquiring data, performing analysis, and offering interpretation on unexploded ordinance." [ more ]
