I am a graduate of The University of Michigan. I was raised in Sault Sainte Marie (SSM), Michigan, home to Lake Superior State University. I lived in Ann Arbor, MI for several years, and returned to SSM in 1994. I have worked in higher education for nearly 20 years. Prior to joining the Admissions team at LSSU, I worked in the Financial Aid Office for seven years.
My greatest passion is helping people take positive steps in the right direction to lead them to a brighter future. I feel very strongly that education is a fundamental element of this goal.
The features of LSSU that I feel are of tremendous value is our small size and our desire to take a personal approach to educating students. Not only are the class sizes small so that students can feel comfortable asking questions and seeking help, but our professors are truly dedicated to teaching. They are highly accessible to students, supplying one-on-one assistance when needed.
It is my pleasure to assist students and parents in the admission process. I thoroughly enjoy helping students identify areas of interest and a pathway to pursue their goals. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.

I have also accepted a full-funded graduate research assistantship to work with the Montana National Guard on developing magnetic techniques to detect unexploded ordinance. My summer internship with Geolex, a company under contract with the Guard, will study acquiring data, performing analysis, and offering interpretation on unexploded ordinance." [ more ]
