Shyla Jones
My name is Shyla Jones and I'm a senior majoring in Business Administration for Secondary Education with minors in Biology and Chemistry. I currently have a 3.747 GPA. I have enjoyed every moment at Lake Sate! Our small campus is inviting and really allows you to get to know other students as well as professors. All of my professors know who I am and care about my education just as much as I do.
I'm very involved on campus. I'm the president and project team leader for Students in Fee Enterprise (SIFE). I am the treasurer, education chair, rush co-chair, and ritual chair for Alpha Theta Omega Sorority. I am also a member of Student Alumni Involved for Lake State and hold the Laker Lotto Chair for the Great Lake State Week and Weekend Committee. I am the Supplemental Instruction Leader for Business laws I and II. I also Tutor for general chemistry and business law. After graduation I will be starting my student teaching internship.

"The opportunity at LSSU to do research is amazing. This past summer I motored through coves and islands with Prof. Garvon surveying water birds for the affects of pollution. I spent the other part of my summer on the shore of Lake Superior monitoring nests of the endangered Piping Plover."
