Acxiom is a student identity verification tool that has been added to Blackboard CE8.
Acxiom helps higher education institutions verify the identity of distance-learning students.
Each day, Acxiom collects, synthesizes and maintains a database of U.S. consumer public records. Using this data they verify an individual’s identity. Click here to find out how this information is collected.
By matching a student’s directory information (name, address, phone) to the Acxiom database, we match the student to the database. The student then must answer questions to verify their identity, which may include name, address and date of birth.
