Letitia Phillips, a Sault Ste. Marie native, Sault High graduate, and 2010 LSSU graduate, presented her paper "A Viability Study of the French Luxury Fashion Industry" at the 2010 Global Marketing Conference held in Tokyo in September. "The experience really pushed me to want to further my education," Phillips stated, noting that she plans to pursue a master's degree in business administration. Phillips graduated with three degrees: business administration-international business, business administration-management, and French studies.

The purpose of the Accounting Club is to give its members valuable experiences to help them be successful in the world of accounting.

We attend the annual Student Leadership Conference through the Institute of Management Accountants, where we build our networks, gain valuable knowledge and experience, and meet potential employers. Member costs are defrayed by hosting professional conferences at LSSU.

Professional conferences are targeted to those seeking continuing professional education credits in order to expand their knowledge and keep up in the dynamic accounting environment.

Members also have access to discounted and free, study materials for the CMA and CPA exams.
