LSSU students and staff and the community are invited to participate in this year's LSSU Volleyball Community Garage Sale. Space can be rented for $10 per table. Deadline to register a table is Wednesday, April 15. Individuals are responsible for their own tables and keep every penny they make at the sale. Unsold items can be taken back home or left at the gym for transport to Goodwill by members of the LSSU volleyball team.
The Seamore Shuttle is a free service provided by the Campus Life Office that takes LSSU students downtown and to places on the business spur, including Varsity Cinemas. Pick-up and drop-off is at the Walker Cisler Center. Shuttle runs from 6-10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1-4 p.m. on Sunday.
Cirque de SOOleil -- Mind's Eye hits the Arts Center auditorium stage today. Midway attractions begin at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby with free games, prizes and entertainment for all, and then acrobats, dancers, clowns and more will take over the stage at 7:30 p.m. Free activity books to the first 25 children. Tickets may be purchased at the door: $7 for adults, $5 for students with ID, and $3 for children 12-under. The theme, "Mind's Eye," is open to audience interpretation as mini-stories expressed through movement and dance fill the stage. This production is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to become familiar with the fine arts at LSSU by enjoying an evening of dance, music, theatre and circus acts, all performed by LSSU students.
Aliens Unchained -Fashion Show for American Cancer Society
7:00 PM until 9:00 PM
LSSU business major Helena Wollan, Sault Ste. Marie, will combine her interest in fashion design and her intrigue with aliens for the theme in her third annual fashion show, "Aliens Unchained." The show is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Admission is by donation. The show features 25 outfits that Wollan designed and produced, along with hair designs by A Cut Above the Rest Salon and Spa in Sault Ste. Marie.
