The League of Women Voters and Bayliss Public Library invite you to a showing of "Iron-Jawed Angels," a 2004 HBO production recalling the enduring strength of several suffragists during a historic time for women and their struggle to gain inclusion at the polls. The film illustrates the sacrifice and determination found in women during the second-wave suffrage movement, specifically highlighting the leadership of Alice Paul and Lucy Burns. A discussion will follow and refreshments will be served. The film is sponsored by Bayliss Public Library, League of Women Voters, Chippewa County Historical Society and LSSU Political Science Club.
