The Quarterdeck is changing up the menu a little bit today with a guest chef coming in to cook lunch. Chef Kris is from Northwood University in Midland. He, too, works for Sodexo, and has offered to visit LSSU for the day to provide a little spice to the menu. Stop by to see what's cooking.
Ciara Aisling Designs Fort Brady Jewelry Collection on Display

Ciara Johnson, a junior at Lake State, will be introducing her Ciara Aisling Designs at the Kenneth J. Shouldice Library Art Gallery. Her first jewelry design line is the Fort Brady Collection after LSSU's prior identity. The open house will be in the gallery from 1-3 p.m. on March 22, but the jewelry will be on display through March 28. Everyone is welcome.
Employers and job seekers will have an opportunity to connect at three community job fairs this spring, including one on the LSSU campus. College students and military veterans are invited to participate. This event is free to both employers and job seekers. Michigan Works! is partnering with the Sault Area Career Center and Consolidated Community School Services to organize the event. Job seekers are reminded that this is their opportunity to make a favorable first impression. Please be prepared to complete application forms on site, and bring your resume if you have one.
The Affordable Care Act and You -- A program for students

Students studying management will be presenting a program on the Affordable Care Act and how it affects students today and Friday. All students who have questions about healthcare coverage are welcome. Check it out from 4-5 p.m. today and from noon-1 p.m. on Friday in the Walker Cisler Center Huron Room. The programs are sponsored by the LSSU Student Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management and the LSSU Health Care Center. Refreshments will be served.
