Students for Concealed Carry welcomes any female students, faculty, staff or alumnae to its Ladies Only concealed pistol license (CPL) course being offered today. Cost is only $75 and includes pistol rental, ammunition, course materials and range time. The course will be taught on campus by LSSU alumnus Walt Poirer of Pale Horse Defense, assisted by alumna Kristina Masuga. No ammunition or firearms will be on campus. The firearm-handling portion of the course will be taught at the Pale Horse Defense range south of Sault Ste. Marie.

Join us for our annual Fall Fling open house! Fall Fling is a great time to visit campus; classes are under way, fall foliage is at its peak, and our local area is buzzing with activity. We'll offer tours of academic departments and labs, you can meet faculty and staff, have dinner on us, and attend a concert by performer Bobby Yang! Are you a runner? Consider coupling your Fall Fling weekend with the 4th Annual Sault Area Chamber Chase Marathon, Half-Marathon, Bridge Run, and 5K. How about a little local flavor? Join local area residents for the 11th Annual Oktoberfest in Downtown Sault Ste Marie the same weekend. Of course, lots of fun and information will be in store for on campus as well for all of our guests. The Seamore Shuttle is a free service provided by the LSSU Campus Life Office that takes LSSU students downtown and to places on the business spur, including Varsity Cinemas. Pick-up and drop-off is at the Walker Cisler Center. Shuttle runs from 6-10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1-4 p.m. on Sunday.
