Regional Outdoor Center

What is the Regional Outdoor Center (ROC)?

The regional outdoor center is the newest addition to the Campus Recreation Department at LSSU, and is redefining the way Lake State Students/Faculty/Staff can experience the backyard of LSSU, that is the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Expected to open in the Fall of 2014, the outdoor center will provide the following to members:

  • Highly Affordable Rental Equipment Including
    • Camping Gear
    • Mountain Bikes
    • Cross Country Skis
    • Snowshoes
    • Canoes/Kayaks
    • Paddleboards
  • Guided Tours of some of the ares most primitive locations
  • Maps and Guides of local attractions
  • Planned Trips to some of the worlds greatest recreational attractions
    • Spring Break 2015
      • Grand Canyon Trip
  • And Much Much More!!
