Note: This guide is valid for working
police officers who receive a Police Foundations Diploma from
Sault College or who have been certified by Sault College as
having the equivalent (Fall 2004). This articulation allows police
officers with at least three year’s experience to earn
a Police Foundations (PFP) diploma from Sault College and a Criminal
Justice Generalist degree from LSSU via distance education. When
they transfer to LSSU, Sault College will certify that these
officers have satisfied the PFP diploma qualifications. LSSU
will accept that they have earned the groups of courses listed
on this transfer guide.
Proposed Course Sequence
For Transfer Students From
Sault College PTA/OTA Program
The following courses are proposed for those transferring with the
following assumptions:
- These classes have transferred in
- ENGL110 First Year Composition I
- EXER140 Health and Fitness
- EXER141 Introduction to Movement
- EXER275 Nutrition for Sport
- BIOL121 Anatomy and Physiology I
- BIOL122 Anatomy and Physiology II
- PSYC101 Introduction to Psychology
- PSYC 155 Life Span Development
- HLTH232 Pathophysiology
The student has completed enough credits at Sault College which,
combined with those of the LSSU courses to be earned, will bring
the total credits to more than the 124 required for graduation.
The student will be taking EXER340: Therapeutic Modalities in Athletic
Training at LSSU. Work is being done to determine the viability of
making this a transferred course, but at this point, EXER340 will
be required.
The student has been accepted into the ATEP at the end of his/her
first year.
Spring and Fall 2006 were the course schedules used to determine
the following proposed course sequence. Therefore, the timetable
is subject to change.
