Satisfactory Academic Progress
Rules for retaining financial aid have changed for students completing semesters after July 1, 2011. Summer students will be reviewed under the new policy.
The new policy contains three major areas of review:
- GPA Requirements – minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Completion Rate - must earn 67% of all credits attempted
- Time Limit – must complete degree within 150% timeframe
The SAP review of fall semester 2011 will be completed at the end of fall semester. The process for appealing the loss of aid is significantly different than it is under current rules.
