Prior to my time at Lake State, my professors rarely learned students' names and my classes often felt impersonal. I didn't realize how important that faculty interaction could be until I spent a few weeks here. The personal attention is motivating, often pushing me to work harder than I would have otherwise.

Without writing a check or having to mail it in - you can easily fund the future of Lake State. Your gift can now be automatically deducted from your checking or savings account no matter where you bank. Your authorization to automatically charge your account has the same effect as a personally signed check to the LSSU Foundation. It will allow your financial institution to deduct your pledge amount on the first or tenth day of each month.

Upon receiving your authorization form, we will send a confirmation and notification of when your automatic deduction will commence. A record of your payment will be included in your bank statement, and at year-end, the LSSU Foundation will provide you with a detailed report of your monthly gift for tax purposes.

All information you provide to the LSSU Foundation will be kept in strict confidence.

Design Competition Senior project Team Rock Rover Design & Development qualified to advance to the international student design competition on November 18, 2009.

ASME Student Design Expositions provide a platform for all engineering students to showcase their innovative design and build projects to a broad audience. Bringing practicing engineers, faculty and students into one venue, this program also provides educational and professional development opportunities for exhibitors as well as spectators. For students, it is an opportunity to demonstrate their products or present their design concepts to potential employers and even investors. For industry leaders, the Expos are like career fairs in reverse; an opportunity to observe the landscape of student design, get to know extraordinary engineering students in the region and see first-hand the innovative ideas and skills students can bring to their companies.
