Dear Colleagues,
The reason for this note is to solicit course proposals future honors courses. Generally courses with interdisciplinary appeal and teaching styles that allow for student driven discussions work very well with our students. So, if you have research to share, an innovative pedagogy to explore, or an interest beyond your usual course assignments, consider teaching LSSU’s honors students.
Recently proposed courses include: Honors Issues in Microbiology, Archeology and
Climate Change, Ecology and Sustainability on the
Attached is a course proposal form, and more details on this solicitation. This coming academic year , we are in particular need of an HONR 101 for 1 credit, HONR 302, and especially, a general education offering (e.g., SOCY 103, MATH 111, HUMN 251). Remember that HONR courses are variable topics and function very much like special topics courses.
