Title: Systems Analyst
 
Function and Responsibility
Under direction of the Systems Development Manager, provide professional skills and knowledge for maintenance of administrative systems and associated software; analysis of system problems and the development of problem solutions; analysis and development of new systems; coordination of data flow with personnel in administrative areas; and defining pertinent specifications of information requirements and operation needs.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining existing administrative systems and software packages.

Perform analysis of methods and procedures; analyze and design documents; design input-output specifications, program specifications and logic diagrams for new and existing systems.

Maintain program source listings and documentation.

Implement new systems and new programs. Design system improvements and identify data processing applications. Responsible for complete documentation of new systems, including systems and user manuals, and training as needed.

Define processing schedules for on-line and batch systems.

Code and test new and modified programs in COBOL and RPG.

Supervise student assistants assigned to
individual programming tasks.

Perform related duties are assigned.
 
Qualifications
Bachelorís degree with major in Business Administration, Data Processing, Computer Science or equivalent job related experience; three years of experience as Computer Programmer or Systems Analyst; knowledge of COBOL and RPG languages, and system Job Control Logic.
