Function and Responsibility
Under administrative direction from and reporting directly to the Director of The Learning Center, will coordinate, implement, train and maintain the IPASS program and affiliated programs with the Learning Center Director.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate the IPASS program:
• Train mentors and coordinate activities for the IPASS program.
• Meet with IPASS students and develop an individualized study plan and work with the student while they are in the program.
• Work to promote the IPASS program to students and faculty.
• Create and maintain a website for the IPASS on the Learning Center Website.
• Meet with mentors on a regular basis to offer mini-trainings and to discuss problems or concerns they encounter as they mentor.
• Communicate with faculty participants on a regular basis to monitor the success and effectiveness of students in the IPASS program.
Assist with these Learning Center programs

• Maintain and help with training of Online Learning Center Environment (Ask Online) for students in the IPASS program.
• Maintain and improve the Learning Center Student Success site on WebCT and update
• Create new Student Success Seminar Presentations and materials and promote student success seminars on campus
• Explore new ways to package and disseminate the student success seminars (i.e. pod casting).
• Collaboration with the Learning Center director to update all student staff training manuals.
• Promote the IPASS and Learning Center and its programs at student orientation and information fairs
• Create and promote opportunities on campus that encourage students to gain better study skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required with experience in presenting student study strategies seminars, online instruction or academic support. Must possess excellent communication skills.
 
Physical and Mental Demands
Adequate physical fitness to be able to sit and concentrate for long periods of time; use of gross motor skills to perform supervisory and organizational duties; use of fine motor skills to operate computer; problem solving ability; ability to see, hear, write and speak with or without the use of aids to perform normal office tasks.
