Function and Responsibility
Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, assist with student recruitment and fulfill the duties normally assigned to professional members of the Admissions staff.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Admissions Advisor
Responsible for management of an assigned geographic location and for developing relationships with prospective students which will lead to the attainment of specific application and enrollment goals from the assigned geographic area. Cultivate relationships with prospective students through a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, telephone calls, personal visits to geographic location and written communications.

Visit high schools, community colleges and attend college night programs within a specified geographic location. Assist with visits to schools outside of assigned geographic location as needed. Assist with the organization of on-campus events including, but not limited to, spring and fall open houses, departmental receptions and the summer all class scheduling program.

Perform related duties as assigned.

E-Recruitment
Coordinate and implement an e-recruitment communication plan for new incoming students, as well as parents, high school counselors, and other relevant target audiences. This position will employ creative techniques to implement cutting edge technologies to recruit students (on-line video, e-mails, text messaging, blogs, podcasts, etc) and maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and standards used in e-recruitment. Research, evaluate, recommend and implement/expand the use of new technologies/innovations that enhance recruitment of new students. Effectively manages e-mail address collection, e-mail data integrity, and e-mail opt-outs.
 
Qualifications
Admissions Advisor: Bachelorís degree with excellent written and oral communication skills required. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage complex detail projects required. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office product suite. Must have well-developed analytical and problem solving skills. Must have ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members, supervisors, and other campus departments.Must possess a valid operatorís license, have a satisfactory driving record and be available to travel as required.

E-Recruiter
Strong graphic design skills to create email/web graphics. HTML, Flash and content management system experience strongly preferred. Two years technical and creative experience in e-recruitment communication and website environment also preferred. Admissions experience would be beneficial.

Senior Admissions Advisor: All the above, plus minimum of 2 years of professional experience in college admissions.
 
Physical and Mental Demands
Adequate physical fitness to be able to drive for up to an eight hour period. Adequate physical fitness to be able to sit and concentrate for long periods of time; use of fine motor skills to operate computer; ability to see, hear, and speak with or without the use of aids to perform normal office tasks; use of gross motor skills to perform organizational duties.
