Function and Responsibility
Under the direction of the Registrar, responsible for the management of the Registrar Counter and for the services provided at the Registrar Counter. This position will supervise the clerical and student staff, and is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service at the Registrar Counter.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Act as a DSO for LSSU’s International Students. Each semester, assist with the registration of all international students into the SEVIS online system. Monitor current international students’ status to maintain SEVIS compliance. Collect and verify required financial information received from international students. Complete I-20’s as needed for international students.

Transfer Course Articulation - Create and maintain transfer course articulations in Banner. Work with department chairs and deans to process new course articulations; provide follow up as needed and maintain records for all transfer course articulations created.

Process transfer credit evaluations for current students. Provide information and answer questions regarding transfer credit and evaluations.

Semester Final Exam Schedule – Responsible for the creation of the Final Exam Schedule each semester and for the room placement for final exams.

Dual/Concurrent Enrollment, Sault College Dual Enrollment, and Charter School Enrollment – Act as main contact for schools, organize, process and maintain statistics on students involved with these programs.

Enrollment Verification Submissions – Act as contact for the National Student Clearinghouse. Responsible for the submission of clearinghouse enrollment and graduation files each semester.

Orientation Registration Paperwork – Create and distribute registration forms for all students registering for and attending our various student orientation programs. Print transfer credit evaluations and schedules as needed. Also responsible for gathering supplies, etc for all orientation programs.

Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications
Minimum associate degree in Office Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (a total of three years experience). Experience in an institution of higher education preferred. Ability to manage a fast paced work environment while maintaining excellent customer service skills required. Organizational skills with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy are also required. Proven ability to work effectively with faculty and staff at all levels of the University as well as with students. Excellent computer skills required. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point required. Familiarity with the software system Banner preferred.

 
Physical and Mental Demands
Adequate physical fitness to be able to sit and concentrate for long periods of time; use of fine motor skills to operate computer; problem solving ability; ability to understand and work with numbers; ability to see, hear, and speak with or without the use of aids to perform normal office tasks.
