| Function and Responsibility |
| Under administrative direction of the Vice President for Student Programs and Services, responsible for the administration of Intercollegiate Athletics and management of all programs related to athletics. |

| Duties and Responsibilities |
Supervise and prepare the men's and women's intercollegiate athletic program budget; recommend candidates for coaching positions; consult, advise, and evaluate coaching staff; supervise the scheduling of Intercollegiate
Athletic contests; prepare and distribute athletic contracts; supervise athletic grant-in-aid program, prepare tenders, ensure NCAA compliance; and administer all details of the program.
Maintain contact and good relationships with various public groups, organizations, and individuals; supervise special projects related to the athletic program; serve on the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic conference or the Central Collegiate Hockey Association; act as chairman as required; consult and advise athletic booster clubs; represent the college at meetings of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Assist in recruiting student-athletes; coordinate team travel, lodging, and meals with all coaches; inform the public about the program; coordinate athletic banquets; arrange, supervise and evaluate pre-game, game, and post-game responsibilities; supervise student eligibility for athletic participation; entertain parents, news media, representatives of other schools.
Consult with the sports information director and supervise his or her activities; supervise the policy and sale of tickets; solicit funds from the public for the grant-in-aid program and for the athletic programs.
Coordinate building scheduling for intercollegiate athletics and special events.
Supervise all personnel assigned to intercollegiate athletics; supervise and evaluate clerical support staff and student assistants assigned to athletics; supervise business and office procedures.
Perform related duties as assigned. |

| Qualifications |
| Master's degree or equivalent in Administration or related field; two to five years experience in Athletic Administration; experience in college coaching preferred. |

| Physical and Mental Demands |
| Adequate health and fitness to maintain long hours and busy schedule, and to travel with teams, as required. Use of gross motor skills to perform supervisory and organizational duties; use of fine motor skills in operation of keyboard equipment to produce contracts, schedules, promotional materials, budgets and reports; ability to hear, see and speak clearly, with or without aids, to represent the University in public appearances, promotional and recruiting activities; mental capacity to assist with numerous administrative responsibilities; ability to work with numbers in budgetary preparations. |
