Function and Responsibility
PRIMARY FUNCTION
To assist the Lunch Supervisor in ensuring the smooth operation of the customer serving area by performing a variety of duties for the set-up, delivery and serving of food.
SOURCE OF SUPERVISION
Managers, Director of Food Services, Cook II's and Lunch Supervisor.
DIRECTION EXERCISED
Students.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide highest quality of service to customers at all times. Interact with customers when delivering food products, assist customer with any service needs.

Set-up line and desserts; assist with set up of the remainder of the serving area and breakdown at the end of meal periods following verbal or written instructions.

Clean and sanitize work stations, counters, steam tables and other equipment; follow all University and regulatory rules and procedures.

Perform related duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications
Ability to work with the public in a courteous manner; ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks. Graduation from high school required.
 
Physical and Mental Demands
Adequate physical fitness to be able to sit and concentrate for long periods of time; use of gross motor skills to perform supervisory and organizational duties; use of fine motor skills to operate cash register; problem solving ability; ability to understand and work with numbers; ability to see, hear, and speak with or without the use of aids. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
