Luke Fera of Sault Ste. Marie graduated from LSSU in 2006 with a degree in biology and is now working toward a master's degree in epidemiology at University of Western Ontario in London. He plans to continue his studies in the medical sciences.

Cooper Gymnasium

This multi-purpose gymnasium encompasses 19,500 square feet and can be used for basketball, badmittton, volleyball, and tennis. The bleachers which can provide seating for 2,500 spectators can also be rolled back to provide additional space. For special events, the gym has a foldaway platform and additional seating can be set up to accommodate 4,000 spectators.
