  Repeat Policy

This policy is in effect for all students starting at Lake Superior State University as of the Fall 2011 semester.

You may repeat a class in which you earn a grade other than W or N only twice without special permission.

• Courses transferred from other institutions are included in this policy.
• Both the original and repeat grades will show on the transcript, but hours earned toward graduation will only count once.
• For the purpose of calculating the grade point average, only the grade of the last attempt will be used.

To repeat a course more than twice, the student must attain the permission of the course instructor and the dean of the college offering that course. Permission is only granted under extenuating circumstances.
