SUPERIOR FACELIFT – Lake Superior State University’s physical plant staff and students take the Cisler Center’s Superior Room through its first renovation in more than 20 years. Fresh images of the region and LSSU will supplement an already spectacular view the venue has of the Soo Locks, International Bridge, and Canada. Working on June 25, from left, are LSSU student Nathan Pim (red shirt; hometown of Maple Grove, Minn.), student Josh Burk (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.), and university locksmith Burch Osterhout. Both students are general engineering technology majors. The project – which taps the Sault-based architectural firm Sidock Group and input from LSSU’s student life office – will wrap in July. Dr. Rodney Hanley, LSSU President, notes, “This beautiful room will offer views of the locks and be a prominent gathering place on our campus.” (LSSU/John Shibley)
