Cost: Free Admission (first-come, first-served seating at each performance)

Description:

Join us for a captivating and modern retelling of one of the greatest stories ever told in An Iliad, the critically acclaimed play by Lisa Peterson and Denis O’Hare, featuring the dynamic Patty Gallagher. Presented by New Canon Theatre Co. this powerful production brings Homer’s ancient epic into the present, as a storyteller reflects on the timeless themes of war, fate, and the human condition.

In this one-person show, Gallagher’s gripping performance will take you deep into the heart of the Trojan War, exploring the rage of Achilles and the devastating impact of conflict on both warriors and the world. With the live musical accompaniment of Jake Sorgen, whose original music and live playing add an evocative layer to the performance, An Iliad becomes an unforgettable fusion of storytelling and sound.

A stirring meditation on violence, loss, and heroism, An Iliad is a must-see for anyone who loves theatre that challenges, entertains, and moves the soul. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness this remarkable production, where ancient myth meets contemporary reflection, in a performance that will resonate long after the final word.
