The flagship ensemble on campus, the pep band is the most active ensemble to participate in. From hockey games to basketball and volleyball games, the Lake Superior Soundwave is one of the premiere pep bands in the state of Michigan. Be ready to amp up the volume and create an electric atmosphere at athletic events. This ensemble is open to all students who want to participate.
The LSSU Symphonic Band is open to any member of the campus community, as well as to anyone willing to make the trip to LSSU. From fast, bombastic overtures to monolithic tone poems, this ensemble performs a wide variety of music and styles.
The LSSU Concert Choir welcomes all who want to share their voice in a traditional choir setting. This ensemble performs both traditional and secular music.
