The LSSU Theatre Department is proud to present Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, a powerful and thought-provoking play that reimagines a certain beloved comic strip and its characters as troubled teenagers grappling with complex issues of identity, friendship, and loss.
Written by Bert V. Royal, Dog Sees God explores themes of acceptance, mental health, and self-discovery. This darkly comedic and deeply emotional production, CB, his friends, and their canine companion, find themselves navigating the challenges of growing up and learning who they truly are in a world that often feels uncertain and unforgiving. This production is made possible by the Issues and Intellect Fund.
Content Disclosure:Â Dog Sees God contains strong language, references to sex, LGBTQ+ issues, bullying, school shootings, mental health struggles, and suicide. Viewer discretion is advised. The show is recommended for ages 13 and up, but this is ultimately at the discretion of the parent or guardian. Students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
