2018 Relay For Life Organizers

REALLY RELAY READY – Organizers of Feb. 17’s Relay For Life event take time out from a planning session to pose with Lake Superior State University faculty and student volunteers. Foreground, left and right, are event student co-chairs Cheyanne Shotwell and Courtney Simpson. They straddle faculty advisor Lori Oliver (center, left) and Molly Paquin of the American Cancer Society. Student volunteers who will serve as team captains surround them. This year’s NHL-themed relay is noon-10 p.m. in LSSU’s Arbuckle Student Activity Center, Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. Teams can pre-register or sign up at the door. Walk-ins – individuals or groups – are encouraged. The day includes survivor and luminaria ceremonies at, respectively, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Vendors, drawings, fundraisers, and entertainment will also be on hand.

CONTACTS: John Shibley, 906-635-2314; Molly Paquin, American Cancer Society, 231-420-3518
